What this tool is designed to answer
The result is a planning aid, not a live booking quote. Current rules and source limits are stated on the page.
How to use the result
- Hotel rates, restaurant choices and shopping are deliberately user-entered because they vary far more than a single published average suggests.
- Use the airport-transfer tool to replace the default airport-transfer budget with a route-specific estimate.
- Use the T-money vs Climate Card tool to refine the local-transport line.
The preset buttons are editorial starting points, not market-price claims. All calculations happen locally in your browser and the assumptions remain visible.
How to use this result well
Method
The planner deliberately starts with your own accommodation, food, transport, sightseeing and shopping assumptions. It shows the total, per-person and per-day result so you can see which category actually changes the plan.
Limits
It is a scenario model, not a live booking quote. Exchange rates, hotel inventory and personal shopping vary too much for one universal Korea-trip price to be honest.
Questions this tool does — and does not — answer
Why is there no single average Korea budget?
Because hotel class, party size, season and shopping can overwhelm any average.
Should shopping be included?
Include it if it is part of your real plan; otherwise the budget will understate the cash you expect to spend.
Can I use it before booking hotels?
Yes. Use a range or a realistic target price, then update it when you have an actual quote.
