Your Seoul travel pattern
What this tool is designed to answer
The result is a planning aid, not a live booking quote. Current rules and source limits are stated on the page.
What the calculator is using
- Seoul adult subway base fare: ₩1,550 by transit card (Seoul Metropolitan Government, fare effective 28 Jun 2025 and still published as current).
- Short-term Climate Card: 1 day ₩5,000 · 2 days ₩8,000 · 3 days ₩10,000 · 5 days ₩15,000 · 7 days ₩20,000. Physical card is ₩3,000 separately.
- Climate Card does not cover airport buses, Shinbundang Line, or all travel outside Seoul. Official visitor guidance states that from 1 October 2026, short-term Climate Card coverage is limited to Seoul; do not count airport travel or outside-Seoul segments as covered.

Method: this is a break-even estimator, not a fare-engine replica. T-money transfers and distance charges can change your actual total. The tool intentionally exposes its assumptions so you can change them.
How to use this result well
Method
The calculator uses your stay length, expected rides and average fare assumption to show a break-even comparison. The editable assumptions are part of the method, not hidden behind a single recommendation.
Limits
Coverage exclusions and pass prices can change. The calculator cannot know your exact route mix in advance, so verify current coverage and enter a realistic average fare.
Questions this tool does — and does not — answer
Is the lowest total always the right card?
No. Coverage and convenience can outweigh a small price difference.
Why do I enter an average fare?
Your ride pattern may include different distances. An editable average keeps the calculation transparent.
What if I travel outside Seoul?
A Seoul-focused pass may not cover every segment, so include those exclusions in your decision.
