What kind of weather do you want?
What this tool is designed to answer
The result is a planning aid, not a live booking quote. Current rules and source limits are stated on the page.
Data and method
- Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) publishes 1991–2020 climate normals as the standard 30-year climate baseline.
- For Seoul, KMA also reports a 30-year average of 16.3 rain days in July and 14.7 in August, versus 6.1 in January and October — a useful reason to treat midsummer differently from autumn.
- Blossom and foliage signals are Mikey Korea editorial season signals, not flowering forecasts. Actual bloom/colour timing varies by year and location.

The score intentionally exposes its priorities. It is a trip-timing model, not a weather forecast or a claim that one month is objectively “best.”
How to use this result well
Method
The score combines climate-normal data with the preferences you set for temperature, rain, blossom interest and foliage interest. The weights are visible so the ranking can change when your priorities change.
Limits
Climate normals describe long-term patterns, not the forecast for a specific trip. Blossom and foliage timing varies each year and should be checked again close to travel.
Questions this tool does — and does not — answer
Is the highest-scoring month guaranteed good weather?
No. It is a long-term fit score, not a forecast.
Why can spring or autumn move in the ranking?
Because your preferred temperature, rain tolerance and seasonal interests change the weights.
Should I book only from this score?
Use it to narrow the window, then check event dates, prices and the forecast closer to departure.
